About Us
The Middlebrook Gallery is located the beautiful historic town of Staunton, in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. The building that houses the gallery dates to the early 1870's. It is constructed in the Italianate Style and has a diverse history including a fruit and produce market and a furniture warehouse.
Staunton was founded in 1747, and was the westernmost courthouse in British North America prior to the American Revolution. It is known for being the birthplace of the 28th U.S. President, Woodrow Wilson and the home of Mary Baldwin College, and Virginia School for the Deaf and Blind. Today it is home to a wide variety of art, and cuisine, including the new Shakespearian Theater and Convention Center.
